I have my CC on MTS with no problem, but when I tried to get them on TSR I get:
"Your creation cannot be accepted at this time because your RGB Specular is not correct." and "We cannot accept your creation at this time because this type of object requires med and or low detail meshes which are missing from the creation. This type of object requires that you clone an object with a med and low detail mesh and that the poly counts are lowered for the med and low detail sufficiently."
I cloned it from a object that only has a high LOD to save on file size.
Should I just give up on TSR and just have my CC on MTS and my personal Blog site?
What do you all do to share your CC?

My personal feeling is that both MTS and TSR accept uploads from creators for one purpose and one purpose only. That purpose is to make money for the site owners. Neither of these site owners has contributed much in the way of good things for Sims 4. Neither MTS or TSR has provided a contributory forum for people to learn to make things for Sims 4, to advance their ability to make things for Sims 4, or to network well with others who are Sims 4 creators. Neither has provided much in the way of tutorials that show how to make things for Sims 4. Neither is willing to do anything to advance the "name" of a creator that isn't their paid employee (TSR) or a special in-group member (MTS). Basically both sites want something for nothing. In the meantime people contributing to these sites are made to jump through ridiculous hoops because neither is moderated or managed by people who care enough about Sims 4 to know what they're talking about. Creators that post at these sites are being used and treated poorly in the process.
I think that Sims 4 creators deserve a better community than either of these sites provides for them and I encourage all Sims 4 creators to find some alternative to these sites for sharing their items. Every creator is welcome to post their blog links here where your work is valued and appreciated.

Never thought of the sites like that. That does make a lot of sense.
Problem though on using a blog is getting traffic and not being able to see how many have downloaded your content.
As for posting here I find it gets to hard to find stuff unless you are willing to scroll through many pages. I suggest that all members only make one page for all of their CC and do like a photo grid with links on the first page. So after there has been many comments someone can find all there CC by just going to the first page.

You can use bit.ly to share your links so you can view how many clicks you got (that take you to the download)

Design4Sims, I would just add that the amount of Time and Effort involved with checking in and updating, on several sites, could be better used to start your own site - you could even read up on HTML, or acquire a pre-made format with counters and what not. I understand where you are coming from, as an X-member of, (CENSORED); The addiction of the DL Count # can be very enticing. The people who run these places know that, it is a Very Powerful subliminal format that attracts new members every day.
Anyone can say, "No, that doesn't affect me." - But it does. Psychologically speaking, who wouldn't like a Big - Fat - Juicy Number on a DL Count? It grooms the Ego, makes you feel wanted and substantiates your work - in your head. What drove me away from the Numbers game was Sims 3, I completely' detested the Look and Feel....I lost my Comfort Zone, Sims 2 was gone. "GOD! WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS TO MEEEEE?!?" Sounds Pathetic - It was, felt like a part of me Died. I stopped playing, stopped logging into my beloved' Numbers Site - stopped Modding completely.
Then, one day Sims 4 came out. I logged into my former beloved' Numbers Site, because I made something for Sims 4. "The Sims 4 is too new, these uploads will have to be checked thoroughly...", my beloved' Numbers Site spat @ me. "GOD! WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS TO MEEEEE?!?". Then it hit me, God was Teaching me a Lesson in a Round-a-bout way. So, I left the Beloved' Numbers site....no longer caring....and as I was deleting my Uploads, I looked @ some silly Gargoyle Fire thing that I had made, and was quite proud of from Sims 2 - and there was a Number Count in the Thousands. To me it was like SATAN HIMSELF was Tempting me back. He did not succeed with that, other things - I won't go into...hahaha!
So, the entire pathetic ordeal has affected me mentally, to where I really don't like my CC to be up for a long time. I take Personal Pleasure, in Deleting it ALL now and then - started to keep it posted a bit longer, figure 6 months is a good Time Frame. While EA's Sims Franchise products may be available for purchase, on an unlimited basis...I view CC as a gift between Modders, then - "That was nice, time to move on to something new.".
Yes, I am Crazy - It's what keeps me out of the Asylum! ;°)

nyloa Never thought of bitly for that, I have used them to shorten my links in the past. I will look into that, thank you for the suggestion. @stevenssimsstuff I agree with you. I don't really like the big name sites but i'm not good at coming up with my own. I do have a blog on wordpress.com but it is a bit dounting to navigat when I need to update it. The big thing also is getting it noticed. I don't work right now, so creating CC for sims is a big hobby of mine I feel the need for acknowledgement. The other problem with creating my own site would be money, as is I don't spend money on photoshop for better ways of making textures for my CC.

The other problem with creating my own site would be money, as is I don't spend money on photoshop for better ways of making textures for my CC. I've been out of work for about a year, hopefully that will change now. °Here's how that works in Germany: You lose your Job, for whatever reason. My old occupation was running a Frozen Foods dept. in a large Supermarket. You go to the Unemployment Office and they give you paperwork every 3 months to apply for: "Forklift Driver", Jobs. So, you tell them - "Hey, I am not a Forklift Driver.". They tell you, "Well, if you are not Hired after a year - we will send you to School.". So, you go to these Job Interviews for a Year, to be hired as a Fork Lift Driver...hahaha! (No, I'm not making this up.) Of course nobody is going to Hire you, so - on the side, you apply to work in your' old proffession. These days, they want 20 year olds - with 20 years Job experience. °As a 48 year old and Greying' - Cards are stacked against you. I just received my, "Forklift Driver", credentials this last Friday - was going crazy waiting on the Mail, Speak of the Devil. God willing, get a Job come Monday morning. I don't have the money for Photoshop either, I usually use GIMP to color and paint.Net to convert the .png to DXT5. °I wish you all the Best with your CC!

Good point nyloa, I've used bit.ly myself for keeping counts and it works quite well for it. While I'm usually with stevenssimsstuff on the count issue and don't bother every once in awhile I get curious and post an item using that just to check the count.
stevenssimsstuff, good luck on Monday. Also, if you're using Joy 2.5.0.8 or above you shouldn't need to convert your .png to .dxt anymore. Those versions accept .png for everything.

@stevenssimsstuff Wow lol thats just crazy. I don't work because I don't have to. My husband makes enough for me to stay at home. But I need some acknowledgement time and again that what I make people like/want. As for bitly. To get a saved counter I have to sign up right?

Yes, you need a bitly account. Then you create your post and put the link to your item into bitly. It will give you a new shorter link to replace the long one you have. Every time the new short link is clicked bitly will count it.

WHYYYYY is there no option for tumblr? Lol I use tumblr to advertise and I have my own blog where I post my content. It works out well, the simblr community has it's problems like most but you are fully in charge of your content, which is nice, and gathering followers might take a bit more effort but once you get going it's pretty awesome. I use blogger as my personal blog, where I post only my content. On Tumblr, my TS4CC blog is both my content and my favorite reblogs of other people's content. Many simblrs like CC finds blogs, and creators follow those who reblog their content, so doing it this way maximizes my followers.

I have not tried tumbler. I have heard it's hard to navigate and set up. If you use tumbler why do you need another blog? I was trying to look at tumblr to see if it would be good for me to use. OMG The main page is so annoying with all the animated GIFs.
