Hey guys, I'm a bit of a noob with this stuff so I could really use your help!! I tried searching the forums here for a solution, but I'm not sure what to actually type in to find the correct fix! So I edited a dress from Get Together - The one that's sort of shiney almost in game, has buttons down the front and panelling (Screen; i.snipboard.io/cmaFwA.jpg ) Managed to edit out all the details I didn't want and got it to this point in S4S (Screen; i.snipboard.io/dxoNHk.jpg ) But then I went to open it up in game and all the details from the original EA design are still showing up? Like the dress is showing shiney still, and there's almost like a shine/detail left over from where the buttons were? (Screen; i.snipboard.io/QR0IzH.jpg ) Is it a setting I can just tweak with to fix, or is it just how the EA mesh works? I have no idea how to mesh, or change/alter anything, so if it's that I guess my little project has to come to a halt ahahah! ><

By the look of it, it looks like you didn't edit the bump map that defines the buttons, you need to erase the buttons from the old bumpmap, create a new one from scratch, or get rid of it completely by clicking the Make Blank button.
The shine is usually a from the speculate map, same as above this also needs to be edited or erased.
Remember everytime you make a major change to a Maxis item, you should always remember to check that the specular and bump maps are also correct, then you can start recolouring away..

Citysim is correct. Bumps come from a bump mup. You need to create a new one, see this tutorial. Whenever you edit EA's item you need to edit for your dress bump map, shadow ( tutorial 1, tutorial 2) and specular (shine map)( tutorial). I do not recommend blanking it. I always recommend to make a custom one. Last time when EA changed something in how the game renders files, all clothes from 2015-2018 with blank normal map started glitching on low settings.
