Hi there!
I've tried looking for an answer to this problem, but couldn't find a solution. I don't know what it could be and I'm not sure where to look or what keywords to use. I apologize in advance if this is a minor thing, but it bothers me when things like this happen.
I've made a table and brought it into the game where this line [see link] appeared. It is more prominent the further away it is in game. There are no doubles except at the edges where they have been split. Thinking maybe the triangulation the mesh was transformed into might have been the problem I triangulated it in Blender and reset the game file. It remained the same. The topology [see link] looks good to me, what am I missing? I've replaced the bump, specular and ambient occlusion maps with those for the model so I don't believe the line is in the texturing. I don't know where to go next. If someone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

I tested some different topology then went back and reviewed the original table from the game and adjusted again. It looks like the problem was with the ngon as the table top. I forgot games don't take ngons well. I was able to break it down without changing the poly count. Now there are still lines but I noticed they only show where the light is reflecting, so I think I just need to adjust the specular map. Hopefully that will solve the problem. If anyone has any other suggestions I would love to hear them, I'm new to troubleshooting for game modeling.

I'm just wondering what graphics card you have. nVidia cards are known to display this issue even with official EA content. You can download and use the nvidiaInspector to correct it though. Bear in mind if that is the cause, it needs to be re-enabled every time there is a game patch.

menaceman44 I do indeed have a nVidia card and the inspector has taken those lines away. Wonderful! Thank you! I'm going to note for reference that after taking the specular map off the worst of the lines went away but they were still there.
