Hello there friends, I'm converting some video game furniture, but some random dark patches have sprouted up on them. I have attempted to fix the normals, but that didn't seem to fix it. I have updated the bump and spec maps with those provided by the game, but still no luck. Each chair has a shadow lod so that's not it... Tried different ceiling lights to see if it was that but nope. Never experienced this issue in particular, so I am looking forward to learning whats up. Bump. I hope that's okay to do. I've just never experienced this problem before.

Sorry for the late reply, you just need to remove both entries in the occluders section

Sorry for the late reply, you just need to remove both entries in the occluders section Thank you for your response. It didn't work for me (well it seemed to have worked for one chair??). I deleted both occluders on the chairs, and on my new converted chairs, I deleted all the occluders (some of them had more than 2). I don't really understand what occluders are. This is what I have right now, even when each package has all occluders deleted in the light category of the warehouse.

I wouldn't expect removing the occluders to fix your problem. Occluders are what tells the game what size shadow the object should make when it is indoors. So for example when it is up against a wall, how much of the wall should be made dark behind it. Removing the occluders just means that your objects won't block out ANY light to create dynamic shadows. You'll only have the "fake" shadow underneath.
This looks to me more likely to be caused by incorrect normal or specular maps. Have you tried your objects by importing blank textures? And I don't mean delete the textures. I mean actually import blank versions.

I mean actually import blank versions. Thank you very much. Turns out I was trying to use the bump and spec maps provided by the game, and that didn't work (and apparently was causing my problems). I've made all the bump and spec maps blank and they're all good! Sad I can't use the bump maps though. Oh well. Good to know it wasn't the occluders, though I'll definitely need to learn about those in the future. Thank you again!
