I have read the getting started with script mods post by Andrew. it is very easy to understand and helped me as it stated get started but i was hoping to make a script mod similar to what a lot of mod developers have made. I am not sure how to to do make a script where you click on a sim and something happens. like in MCC or Slice of life. i just want to start with simple things. them build on that. I know that the tutorial that is out there is pretty easy to understand. but do i need to know what certain actions are in game. names of specific things to put in. I guess i am kind of dumb but is there a script mod tutorial with more details onto how to create actions in game. like a sim gain's a skill or gets a better relationship.

Have you made regular tuning mods before? If not I recommend starting there. You need to know both tuning/XML and scripting/Python to make mods like SOL. If you learn tuning first you'll understand where to look for skill gains and all that, and then can inject them yourself once you learn scripting. There are not many scripting tutorials because not many people know how, and it requires understanding Python. The few who do understand it choose to not write tutorials as it's time consuming (which is unfortunate for the rest of us). You could try XML Injector instead as it can handle the scripting work for you while you learn other things to eventually script on your own. Or Mod Constructor V4, which is how KawaiiStacie made SOL, etc. in the beginning, but she has since learned how to do it on her own.
