Hi. Hairstyle blends consist of 3 meshgroups (s4studio_mesh_), two of them have the top part of the head removed to prevent it from clipping into hats. When a hat is being put on a sim, the hair's meshgroups switch to show the appropriate one. The imported blend should have the same number of meshgroups as the one that is being replaced. These meshgroups should also have corresponding cut numbers. You cannot just switch the category of the package started from hair and think it will work. These types of packages are tuned differently and have different number of meshgroups. If you were to delete these extra meshgroup from the blend and try importing it in the package started from a hat, the top of the head would be missing because, again, hat packages are tuned this way. So what you should do instead is: 1). clone this base game earrings; 2). export its blend and open it; 3). Append the headband ( File - Append - your headband package - object - s4studio_mesh_1 ); 4). Delete all vertex groups for the exception of the first one; 5). Make sure Armature modifier is added and the rig is selected. Switch to Weight paint and click on Auto Normalize; 6). Click + to create a new vertex group, double click on it and rename it to b__R_LoLip__; 7). Switch to Edit mode ( TAB ), select the uv_1 map, set this picture as the background, relocate the uvs where the hat parts should be. G to move, S to scale, R to rotate. Just select everything with A,press R 90, G and put it like in the pic; 8). delete s4studio_mesh_1, save, import in the earring package, switch category to hat.
