Object Request

Anyone with the ability to build a half wall? Trying to keep an open floor plan in new home but would like to have half walls and place small windows to create separate spaces without walls. Loved this in Sims3 but there is no way to do this in Sims4- placing a wall and adjusting it to the small wall does so to all walls. Frustrating!!! Someone in a thread (google search) came up with using fences, but don't really want to go this route.

Note: came up with a way until a better solution is found. Added a wall, stacked the light box window and removed wall. Picture here if interested.
