Uninstalling and reinstalling origin kinda helped the game work again but now I'm having a bigger problem. After the latest update, my game is now all the sudden lagging and running slow. Before updating, it worked fine. Smooth as a button. But now, it's awful and so annoying! I checked my specs and it turns out my computer didn't meet the requirements to run the game, but before updating, the game ran smoothly. The only thing that didn't run smoothly is San Myshuno from the City Living Expansion Pack, but other than that, it worked just fine. The loading screen didn't take long at all and I could make my sims perform tasks with ease. Now, it's a real struggle just to shoot hoops with my partner (in the game). I'm not sure if my computer met the requirements to run the game before updating, but I've used this computer for a year and it worked just fine. Does anyone know what I should do?

You will have to save money and buy another computer.

If you have a lot of CC it will slow things down a great deal. You could try merging packages but don't make them too large because you run the risk of corruption and also making sure all your cc is named without spaces. For some reason this tends to help. So if I had a package that was "Sparkiemonkeys Monster Butt Pants" would run slower than "Sparkiemonkeys_Monster_Butt_Pants" or "SparkiemonkeysMonsterButtPants"
It also might help to turn the settings down a bit as well. With the changes from the EA team stopping support for 32 bit... this might be the trouble as well and I'm not sure what else you could do for that.
