So I wanted to retexture the cupcakes but I have a problem. The initial plate of cupcakes came out great, im really happy. but even though I did the individual 'single' plates for each cupcake no matter which plate i pick up from it only serves me a bacon cupcake. in the picture i took from the plate in front of him the butterscotch brown but he is eating a bacon one instead, I dont mean he grabbed it from the bacon plate i mean all plates are only serving bacon ones no matter what cupcake they are.. How do I get the game to recognize each individual cupcake , i overwrote the appropriate texture in s4 studio , there is one file for the "serving plates" that has all the cup cakes in one package with all 9 cupcakes. The single plates however do not come like that I have to do those one at a time , I did so. a total of 10 files one for the serving plate and 9 for the single serving cupcake is in supposed working order. Do I have to name the overwrites something specific for food, i don't usually have to do that for other overwrites. Id really like to get this to work if anyone could help me figure out what I am doing wrong I would be really appreciative.

Very sorry though nearing 3 years since I asked last, anyone figured this out? Using home chef hustle could be more fun if this was able to work properly. Edit: The textures doesn't take at all anymore, only single serve Bacon cupcake shows up.

Edit: The textures doesn't take at all anymore, only single serve Bacon cupcake shows up. E So, the thing to understand about food is that there's a few different states for them. Most food usually follow this pattern: - Multi-Serve (possibly further separated between 4 & 8+ servings, typically)
- Single Serve - Usually what a sim grabs from a multi-serve, or produces when cooking single serving. Also usually what they eat from.
- FoodHand - Not always, but foods like aforementioned cupcakes, tacos, etc. use a foodhand object as well.
To not waffle on, the issue here is that the foodhand is still associated with eg. the cupcake is still associated with the original one. For foods with foodhand, you'll need to separate it out & retexture that as well, then associate it with the single serve.
