Functional Spell Book
Ever since I got the Vampires Game Pack, I was always disappointed that the spell-book-esque stand was only for decoration. Then, after getting City Living, I noticed that there were functional podiums and thought, "Hey, it'd be cool if the stands from Vampires could work like that." And thus this creation was born. This is just a little mod where I tune the decoration into a functional podium. As an added bonus, most of the text has been replaced from "Give Speech" and "Practice Speech" to "Recite Incantation" and "Practice Incantations." Because of the nature of this, this is only for cosmetics and story-telling, it doesn't actually cast spells or give any special buffs. I also edited the names for special mood-oriented speeches (ex. "Give Inspirational Speech" to "Recite Incantation of Inspiration"). The stand has the exact same mesh as the original stand with the exact same swatches.

Known Issues:- If a sim is able to perform multiple speeches, the pie menu redirect will say "Give Speech..."
- If a sim is able to perform multiple speeches, clicking on a normal podium will bring up the pie menu redirect "Choose Incantation..." instead of "Give Speech..." - If another sim clicks onto the spell book while it's in use, the option will say "Listen to Speech."- For some reason, the "Practice Incantations" option is not targeted to the spell book, so, if the option is selected, the sim will not walk to the spell book and, instead, will just stand in place and perform the animation (I may end up just removing the "Practice Incantations" interaction altogether).- There is a minor sound effect that emits when a sim taps on the podium. Unfortunately, this sound effect will still play every once in awhile when a sim is using the spell book. If I end up fixing any of these issues, I will update this post. Requirements: Vampires

Goth PikesThrough all the mountains of "goth" custom content available for the sims 4, I could not find the most iconic type of boot most prevalent during the early days of goth: pikes (also known as winklepickers)! I honestly love these kind of boots and, even if they weren't related to the goth scene, I would still love for my sim to own a pair. But no one else in the whole wide web has made a decent pair... Well, after a lot of digging, I happened upon this piece of custom content where the talented Gohliad/Cupidjuice separated the shoes from the GTW scientist outfit and made it base-game-compatible. They do sure look like some plain-looking pikes! Sold! 
Unfortunately, Gohliad/Cupidjuice has deleted most of their old work and is no longer creating custom content for the foreseeable future. The shared tumblr post that had the link to download these pair of shoes was no longer available. However, I was able to find it in a SFS folder that someone made of all of Gohliad's content which you can find here ("[gohliad]scientistbootsfemale" and "[gohliad]scientistbootsmale"). However, these boots weren't good enough for me, so I made this quick little recolor to "goth" them up a little. By that, I mean I just took the texture from the base game rocker boots and put them on this mesh. Here is the finished result:   The pikes appear lighter in these photos to show off all the detail in the boots.  Known Issues: - For some reason, in CAS, this cc adds another category of shoe-wear. This was something that occurred in Gohliad's original cc and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. This is what happens. I don't really think it's that big of a deal so it's not a top priority to fix it.
Since this isn't my mesh, recolors are fine. The only condition in Gohliad's TOU is that you don't claim the mesh is your own and that don't put any of your modified creations through a pay link like Adfly.

Tripp NYC Collection
One of my favorite items from any of the Sims 4 game are the faux tripp pants from Get Together. While those pants are pretty awesome, I really wanted a pair that were tight around the legs so that they would work well with tall boots. It all went downhill from there.
I took the texture of the Get Together pants and threw them onto four different kinds of pants. I also made female versions that are all high waisted. Not only that, but I also made all eight pairs of pants have the nine swatches of the original pair of pants. The Spooky Collection Halloween is by far the best time of year (in my opinion, at least). I especially love all the spooky custom content that comes out around this time as well. However, I've noticed that most of the items tend to be female oriented... so, my reason for making this pack, at first, was to give my guy sims some love. Of course, my reason eventually just became to make a nice collection of items to enjoy during Halloween as I added more items to the collection. The first item I made, the "Franken Shirt" was made exclusively for men and modeled after a similar shirt I DIY'd earlier this year. Initially, this was the only item I was going to make but I couldn't help myself! I made a male and female set of neck stitches and then I made a collection of spooky umbrellas. Unspiked Chokers Generally speaking, whenever I make some custom content, it's because I want my sims to enjoy things that I enjoy irl. For instance, I was gifted with the neck of a giraffe and so I really like wearing chokers. There aren't really any nice maxis match chokers out there for male sims, so I figured I'd try my hand at making one! All I did was remove the spiked off of the EA choker and then messed around with the texture. I was inspired by THIS choker made by Scarowsims (who has mostly deactivated) and took the buckle texture and threw it on the front of some of the swatches. I originally was only going to make this for male sims, but when I realized the female choker uses the exact same texture, I figured I might as well make one for them, even though there are plenty of de-spiked chokers for female sims.    Known Issues:- The textures aren't as polished as they could be, so they do look a little fuzzy if you zoom in too close. It's not really an issue for me, but I may end up re-doing the textures later down the line. - For the versions where the buckle is in the front, the back of the choker doesn't look too great. But who even looks back there anyway?

Maxis Match Tarot Cards I have had a deep love for tarot cards throughout my childhood. I got my first deck (The Gilded Tarot) some time in middle school and I've been performing readings as a hobby ever since. As with all things, whenever I have something I love irl, so too must I have it in my game. While there are plenty of amazing tarot custom content out there, none of them have really satiated my unquenchable thirst for maxis match content. That was until I stumbled across THIS set of designs by early-grape. Now, originally, all I wanted to do was just turn the in-game card set into decor objects, but, after seeing early-grape's designs, I just knew they would be a great addition to this project! After getting her permission, I went ahead and freed the 5 decor objects. I also included the regular swatches of the in-game playing cards in case anyone wanted them.   After I made the decor objects, I thought it would be fun to create something that goes along with my spellbook cc. I made an override to the in-game playing cards, made a floating deck that any table can be placed under and changed the tuning to make it seem like your sims are giving a reading. Similarly to my spellbook mod, it's purely cosmetic and doesn't actually do anything. I was heavily inspired by THIS mod, so if you just wanted the exact same thing but with normal playing cards, go download that one instead. I'm super happy with how this turned out, but I really wish I could make a better version of the tarot table. As it will be mentioned in the "Known Issues" down below, the card texture overrides normal playing card tables as well. Ideally, I would love to create a separate table that doesn't affect the cards on the other playing card table. If you're a modder who would like to help me accomplish this, message me or reply to THIS thread. For the table, all you have to do is place down the floating deck, place chairs around it and then, with "bb.moveobjects on" enabled, place a table underneath it. - The only way for the tarot table to work is to override the card texture file. Meaning, that normal cards used on other tables will have the tarot texture, too.

Witch Dress Conceptually speaking, I've always liked the Grim Reaper costume that's been in the basegame. That being said, I've never found the outfit to be particularly flattering on any of my sims. So, with my newfound Blender knowledge, I decided to edit the mesh a bit to make it suit your witchy sims! With Realm of Magic just around the corner, what better time to release this than now?    The edit is fairly simple. All I did was shrink the waist, hike up the skirt and raise the dress collar. Honestly, it almost looks like an entirely new dress! I really liked how it turned out and I can't wait to put more of my sims in it once I get my hands on Realm of Magic! FILE NAME: Witch Dress

2019 Halloween Tricks For this halloween season, I decided to make two batches of gifts. The first is a set of tricks and the second is a set of treats, which you can find HERE. The reason I'm calling these trick gifts is because they didn't take me a lot of time to make and I don't expect people to use them that much. That being said, they were a lot of fun to make and people seemed to really enjoy them. I really love this time of the year and I hope these little tricks help you guys enjoy celebrating it, too! The first trick gift is an homage to one my favorite films. The Crow's makeup is just such an iconic look, even if it's pretty tacky. This was the first idea that came to mind when I decided I wanted to make trick gifts this year. It was pretty easy to make (which was intended for the trick gifts) and I'm quite happy with the results! 
The second trick gift came to me when I was creating an asset for a sims photoshoot. I thought that it would be funny to replace the cauldron ladle from Realm of Magic with a guitar. From there, it just got out of control and I started making a whole bunch, capping at seven different replacements. While the guitars are cool looking, I think the broom and grim reaper scythe are my favorite.  After I made the ladles, I realized that I wanted to make something else that was witchy but also base game compatible. That's when I came up with the idea for taking the Realm of Magic broom and mop and turning them into guitars. Now, the entire premise of the trick gifts is that they're supposed to be low-effort but these guys were by far the hardest thing I made this year. There was just a bunch of issues that kept popping up but I finally was able to make them work. Hope it was worth it...  Last but not least, I remade the wand from the Sims 1 Makin' Magic! I've been recently playing the first sims game for the first time and I've already been drawn in by the allure of Magic Town and all it has to offer. I really wanted to bring some of that magic back into the Sims 4. All I did was take the Wand of Astral Creation and replace the star with a plumbob. 2019 Halloween Treats For this halloween season, I decided to make two batches of gifts. The first is a set of tricks, which you can find HERE, and the second is a set of treats. These pieces of cc are things that I'll probably use on all my sims all year round, which was partly the point. I really love this time of the year and I hope these little tricks help you guys enjoy celebrating it, too! The boots and the bone apparel items are pretty self explanatory. The boots are just edited versions of different boots from various sims games. I myself love platform boots and so I just needed more pairs for my sims to enjoy. The bone apparel items are just pieces of under layers that I think can add a spooky touch to any outfit. Originally, they were only going to be leggings, but I ended up making them into gloves, bodysuits and more! Make sure to check out all the swatches of each set because there's a lot of different styles for each one.   The last gift is the one that I'm the most excited for! It's the first frankenmesh that I'll be releasing to the public!! Now, there are still a couple of problems that I point out in the Known Issues section, but that can all be fixed up later. For now, I really hope you enjoy this piece. It was heavily inspired by Trillyke's Alligator Top which both utilize the ripped hem from the zombie uniforms from the Spooky Stuff pack. If anyone notices any issues with it, be sure to let me know because I really want this top to be the best that it can be!  Known Issues:
- Tattered tee bottom hem is a little dark. It's a uv_1 problem for sure but every time I mess with it, it's still there.

Nevergreen Gothmas Trees If you're anything like me, it can be hard to enjoy the holiday season when there's so much... color. I'm offering a goth-friendly christmas experience for your sims with my simple recolor of the tree from the Holiday Celebration Pack! As a bonus, I also recolored the intractable tree from Seasons, too! Now, you too can show off your holiday spirit, emphasis on spirit! I thought this would be a cute little thing to release as a christmas present but is still on brand! I hope everyone enjoys themselves this holiday season! Punk HijabAs a proud alternative guy, I've always loved learning how different people in different cultures bend their fashion to show off their inner darkness. One style in particular that caught my eye was a mohawk-styled hijab. Specifically, I was inspired by Tesnim Sayar's hijab styles. It's actually been near the top of my to-do list for when I started to get better at using Blender. As you can probably tell, I just took the spikes off of that basegame choker and propped them ontop of the hijab that we received in a recent update. I originally was going to remove the metal texture, but I think it looks really cool, so I kept it. I also was going to make a shorter and longer version but I ended up just committing to the longer one. The textures are pretty plain, but I did add three patterned swatches into the mix! The Trad Goth Collection Over two years ago, I started making custom content for the Sims 4 and sharing it with the world on here and over on tumblr. It's been a lot of fun learning the craft and making my younger, past self proud. Through it all, I've never been one to care a lot about follower numbers. In fact, I've always told myself that I never wanted to do milestone follower gifts because making custom content was never about gaining followers, it was always just about the hobby. That being said, the only exception to that rule was the idea of making something big for when I hit 666 followers. Well, the day has come and I'm here to present to you all: 13 gothic rock bands rendered in a maxis match style!
 
As someone who has historically done everything in their power to blend the goth subculture with the sims, as well as be an unforgiving maxis match player, this collection of custom content shouldn't be surprising at all. I was heavily inspired by the countless simmers in our community who have recreated real-world things, such as movie posters or famous paintings, in the sims or using sims iconography. And since I want my sims to be as much of a spooky nerd as I am, I had no other choice but to recreate some of the most iconic 80's goth rock bands into Sims 4 memorabilia . The designs are featured on three tops for masculine and feminine sim frames, five wall decor objects and one clutter object. All of the shirts are black, so some of the designs were tweaked to have a black background and/or changed to match how real-life band shirts look like. All of the items have thirteen swatches, except for the leather jackets, those only have one swatch, but it includes several different band logos, including ones that weren't turned into full designs. Honestly, it was pretty hard to narrow down a solid list of bands. I knew I wanted to keep a trad goth theme, so I stuck with 80s goth acts. From there, I picked them based off of popularity, influence and a little bit of personal bias. The albums and the designs I chose was mostly chosen by recognizable imagery or, again, personal bias . If you aren't too familiar with these bands or just want a trip down memory lane, you're in luck because you can find a nice little playlist of these bands on youtube and spotify provided by yours truly!I'm so so so proud of how these designs turned out and I hope you all enjoy all of the goodies your darkly inclined sims can enjoy! Maybe some time in the future, I'll make more of these and include 90s and modern bands. Or maybe I won't. Only time will tell...  The male shirt uses buckgrunt's cc shirt as a base, but since buckgrunt is deactivated, the mesh is included. All the BB items have the hidden tag of "Trad Goth Collection" which you can search into the BB search bar to easily find all the items! Feel free to use the PSDs for anything as long as you give credit where credit's due!

Steampunk Boots Now, I'm not one who usually takes requests, but I'm always open for suggestions. One of my good friends asked me if I could turn the boots that came with Realm of Magic into ankle booties and I was up for the task! The swatches and the styling really reminded me of something a steampunk would wear, so that's why I picked the name. However, I think these boots would work well for a variety of styles! They use all the swatches of the original Realm of Magic boots. They were made for female sims, but male sims can wear them if you turn off the masculine filter (though, they look a little weird, so use at your own discretion). I actually really like how these turned out and I hope you all like them, too!  FILE NAME: Steampunk Boots

No Free Samples! Mod After I got Realm of Magic, one feature that kind of annoyed me was the fact that anytime you learned a new potion recipe, you got a free sample of it. I think it just makes magic gameplay a little too easy. I honestly have no idea if a mod like this has been done before, but I can't find one so I made it myself (and also some help from Zero Mods)! Basically, I had to change the tuning of every potion in the game so that you don't get a free sample after getting a new recipe from learning it, discovering it or being taught it by a sage. I also changed the in-game text that pops up to reflect this change by removing the part about obtaining a sample in your inventory.
In terms of compatibility with custom potions, you will still receive samples from custom potions unless the modders of each potion changes that. However, you will still always receive the same shortened pop-up unless the modder changed that for their mod. Also, this will probably conflict with any mod that messes with the loot tunings of any of the potions.

The Actual Functional Spell Book A little over two years ago, I released my very first mod, the Functional Spell Book! I can barely call it a mod since all it did was give the book stand from the Vampires game pack the tuning of a podium and then changed the names of the interactions. But after years of honing my craft (and some help from the amazing Zero Mods), I present to you: The Actual Functional Spell Book! With the release of Realm of Magic, I would often use my previous spell book stand as a centerpiece in my witches' homes, but I was often disappointed that it didn't really do much besides raise their charisma skill. I decided that I was going to turn my original mod into one that was more fleshed out! I made this it's own separate mod just because I wanted to keep the original one for those who don't have/want Realm of Magic. I was heavily inspired by how the spell books worked in Sims 2 and wanted to give sims the ability to study from all the different schools of magic (as well as be able to check their own spell books) to gain magical experience, learn spells and discover potions. I'm so proud of how this turned out because it's exactly the kind of thing I would've wanted when I set out the make the original mod. But now, it's making me a little cocky and so you might be seeing other mods like this in the future. Perhaps a real functional tarot mod but no promises...Below the first image, I'll list all of the features included in this mod!  Features:- Check your sim's spell book and study from the four different schools of magic
- Only spellcasters can use the book (obviously)
- Gain magical experience for each interaction
- Have the possibility of learning spells
- Have the possibility of discovering potion recipes (recommended add-on mod so you don't bottle samples)
- Perform the practice speech animation with unique speech bubbles for each interaction
- Counts as casting spells and using the cauldron for the club activities from Get Together
- Compatible with custom spells and potions
- Custom interactions that are compatible with Zero Mod's Vampire Magic Mod (not required, but recommended)
- French translation by Maia_Game (Website).
- Spanish translation by GeoSimsCR
