hope17 Sims 4 Studio doesn't have any virus in the files. I don't know which antivirus are you using but Avast has been known for having issues with false positive with Studio. THIS posts have some information that can be useful. Also, I moved your thread to chat since it's not related to a specific creating project.

Again, as told before Studio doesn't have any virus. There's no way we can explain in detail how to deal with whatever antivirus software you have. All you need to do is add Studio to exclusion or deactivate the antivirus while downloading. If you don't know how to do this you need to google search it or ask in the help support of that antivirus. We do not support other software than Studio here. Posting message after message saying that Studio has virus doesn't help anyone. There's not a problem with the program but with people handling their antivirus (you should control your software not the other way around).

My antivirus software Panda caused issues as well, the same issues as yours. Without asking for permission it took the S4S installer from the desktop and put it into the quarantine folder. Finally I investigated the program, found the installer in the quarantine and restored it... AND: All issues stopped. I can now download the installer and have S4S installed without any problem. No need ( in my case)to deactivate the software. It stopped fighting with my beloved S4S.
