I like EA's Single Mission Double bed frame but I've often felt that it could use some slots for the wide surfaces on the head and foot boards. And the frill underneath the frame is an impediment to using the bedding you want while also having it match the frill. So I took the bed, made it mattress-free to go with my Sophia Double Mattress, put 14 slots on it, and ripped off the frill.
Now it will work with many beddings without them clashing with the frill and you can put things on it easily without all that computer keyboard clicking things up and down. Note, if you put things on the footboard surface you will need to use the move objects cheat to place the mattress. The Sims will, however, still use the placed mattress even if there are items occupying the slots on head or footboards. The headboard surface is, apparently, far enough away that items placed there do not block the mattress.
It has the same scores as the original EA bed but it's about half the cost because you also have to buy the mattress. It will, of course, work with the design tool, it has custom catalog thumbnails, and it was made entirely with Sims 4 Studio. The download is below the first picture and all the pictures are in-game screenshots. I hope you will enjoy it. Feel free to recolor.

You never cease to amaze me Orangemittens! I've been a fan of your creations since Sims 2 and looks like I needed to get registered so I can see your creations first hand. Thank you very much.

Love this bed and wanted to put it in my sim's new home. It's adorable. I'm having an issue with woohoo. They get to the point of getting under the covers and then reset. I've tried deducting if I had a mod conflict but I don't have a mod that deals with beds in my game and I forgot to test with other frame/mattresses bed before I closed the game. I have to leave in a few and won't be able to test the other frames/mattresses til later today. It might just be my failure for some reason.

I'm not sure what the issue is but it isn't this frame. What mattress are you using on it? This picture was taken with my Sophia mattress on the bed...perhaps give that one a try.
