I'm using S4Studio Candy Apple and I don't even have a "build" option in the studio. Did you get rid of the ability to customize walls and floors? or is it only in the windows version?

Is there ever going to be an option to do this in the Candy Apple version for Macs? I really want to make some wall recolours, but obviously there is no build option in Candy Apple

I can use some help please, because I do not know what I am doing wrong. I follow the directions carefully but apparently all the tutorials are for photoshop which I do not have. I have Gimp and the sims 4 studio. Can someone please, please tell me where I can get a tutorial for these programs? :( I'm so frustrated) and I am getting no help from anyone. My friends on the sims 4 games make pictures with no problem and I have asked for help for the last 2 days with no success.

If you explain what is going wrong it would be easier to help you. A picture of the problem would also be helpful.

When I resize my medium walls to 256x512, the texture looks all blurry in game. However the short and tall walls look fine.

So, I managed to semi-successfully edit a wall in S4S, but I almost thought I messed up at first because my wall preview is so weird. Here's a picture of what it looks like in the default view: imgur.com/Q1LUZo5And if I scroll to zoom out, I get this view: imgur.com/8aJNYhcI played around with the camera a bit but failed to get any nice view like the one on all the screenshots here. Is there something up with the Mac version of S4S, or am I missing something super obvious? Any help would be very much appreciated! (By the way I did update my version of S4S to the latest available so I'm not sure why it's saying Apple Blossom... the version number seems correct?)

Hello! Mac user here. Thank you for the tutorial! Just downloaded the studio today and this is my first attempt at doing anything. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong at this juncture. When I import my texture the preview doesn't change. In addition to the height texture options there are 3 other texture options (diffuse/normal/specular). I've tried importing to just 1 of them (normal) and to all 3 of them. Either way, I can't get that preview to change from white.

auraorialis, if you're importing your texture into the "normal" you need to be importing to the "diffuse" for the corresponding height and not the normal. The normal (or bump) adds depth to your wall without changing the "mesh" of it but does not change the color of your wall. The normal is what you change if you want to remove or add depth outside of 2D shading. Hopefully you were already able to make your wall but I figured I'd reply anyways just in case!

I'm trying to make some nice tile walls, however, for some reason the walls in S4S look extremely blurry. But everything looks good in GIMP. Help!!

Wall texture packages are crashing the editor on open, even ones created by it through the "build" dialogue. All other package types open normally. Version is 1.3.1.6 (Apple Blossom)
