I have made a long dress for a female child but I do not know have to assign the mesh to the ankles so the child does not walk through the lower part of the dress. The dress also in game switches between short and long which i think is because of the assignment issue.
Please if anyone knows how to fix this issue. Large hugs for you. I want to make Medieval clothes with this mesh

This is just what I had open in blender, but it should suffice to demonstrate what you're asking about. On the right, I circled the tab with the triangle made up of the 3 dots, while in edit mode, select that. Highlight the vertices you want to assign, then look at the text above the bottom circle, that's all the choices for bone assignments. Select the one you want and then click assign. That's pretty much it. You may need to remove other assignments, and if that's the case, click the other groups it's assigned to while it's highlighted and click remove.  I hope that helps. =) |
