If you're asking how to rename a mesh group in Blender this is how: 1. Right mouse click on the mesh group name. 2. Select Rename on the pop up menu. 3. Type the new name on the line.

I have little in #6. There aren't any bone :( Your picture said that choose the original mesh first and new mesh later, it 's nothing But I choose the new mesh first and the original mesh later ... here are them and i going on but Blender said "Skipping objects "s4studio_mesh_2" it has no vertex group" :(

I had this problem. Somehow I fixed it before, but now I made a new object and ran into the same obstacle. I can't remember what it was that I did, it certainly was some sort of a lucky accident. My game just broke too, what a bad day for my sims.

Hi and thank you for the tutorial! I have a question tho, do I have to transfer the bone weight of everything in the vertex group list or just the one that applies to my mesh, like L and R Foot if I'm doing a shoe?

Yes - you need to transfer the weights from one set of shoes to another - you'll get L & R Foot and L & R Calf

Julie J thank you very much! I noticed that I also have UpLid, Toe and Shoulder in the Vertex Group list, should I transfer these too or isn't necessary? Or maybe I shouldn't have them at all in the shoes?

Just need the shoe parts L & R Calf and L & R Foot also L & R Toe Those three bones are the main bones for shoes/boots Top of the boot - assign l_calf r_calf Shoe part of the boot - r_foot l_foot Toe part - r_toe l_toe
When you transfer the weights - you'll see the bones listed you'll see all that in the tutorial here at S4S

I'm really stuck with this and can't seem to get it to work. I was wanting to take the full body female business outfit from GtW and remove the namebadge to make a regular outfit. Removing the badge leaves a hole in the chest. I patched together the hole by copying and flipping the other half of the jacket and then updated the UV map accordingly. Trying it in game, where the badge used to be sinks into the Sim. Then, using the method in the first post, I transferred the weights from the original outfit to the edited one and now, in CAS it is full of holes and a spike on the right hand instead.

It sounds like something went wrong during the weight transfer process. A spike generally occurs due to over or underweighting. I'm not sure what you mean by full of holes.

Sorry, I should probably have provided a picture. Here: This was my second attempt at transferring the weights. I'm thinking I'll start again from scratch and see if I get any better results.
