Been a while since I popped in. I wanted to thank those who kindly helped me when I was stumped on posing/animating. I greatly appreciate it!
Yesterday I made a beginner's pose making tutorial with skip-a-head bookmarks for selecting a specific lesson. (See video description.) The video is less than 9 minutes and covers the basics of: how to make a pose in Blender, how to import a pose into Sims 4 Studio, how to turn a screenshot into a pose list icon, and the basics of pose player & teleportation mod. Let me know what you think and maybe this might be helpful to someone else?

Wonderful tutorial! Thank you so much for doing it! I really think it will help a lot of people, as many of them like to learn from watching rather than reading. It varies in preferences but It's definitely good to have both options! I moved the tutorial into its own thread so if someone has any question can post directly here. If you'd like to change the title or anything you can do it editing your message.

Great tutorial, thank you very much for sharing it. I think, as Mathcope said, a lot of people learn better by watching and following along and this video tutorial will be so helpful!
One thing I would point out is that moving the timeline will have no effect unless a keyframe is set after you have moved the timeline forward. Setting a keyframe locks the rig in place at the new point on the timeline. If a keyframe is not set, the movement of the timeline will have no effect. Also, after moving the keyframe, a small change needs to be made to the rig before setting the keyframe in order for Studio to "see" the change. When Studio saves a set of keyframed rig positions it only writes ones that are different from the one directly preceding it. If two keyframed positions that are exactly identical are handed to Studio, it will save the first and ignore the second.
If you're making poses for clip packs intended to be used with the Pose Player (as in the tutorial), setting only one keyframe is completely fine. If you are making a CAS trait override pose, you need to be sure to set a keyframe after advancing the timeline and making a small change to the rig or else the pose will not function properly in CAS.

Hey pixelsimss, once you have you sim posed (best way I've found to working in sitting poses) click on the center button between the hip buttons. Then right click on your mouse and you can raise and lower the sim.

what version of blender are you using? and can you copy and paste your error report here? try downloading blender 2.70 and see if it creates new results. I have Version v2.70, I can make poses and I could copy and paste them when it was a couple pose, but now suddenly I can't anymore and I don't understand that. I will explain.
1. I make the pose and select all the joints, then I press the I key and click Locrot. 2. Then I press CTRL + C to copy the pose. 3. I open a new blender screen and open my rig. 4. Then I want to past the pose on the new rig I placed, I use CTRL + V, but then this comes: Report: Error Copy. buffer is empty.
That's my problem but first I could copy and paste, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. It's not my C key that's broken cause that key still works. Can you please help me..
xx Manous
