Hi daer0n, what game version are you running? EA, so far at least, has maintained backward compatibility when they patch. What this means is that items made using an old patch version will show up in someone's game if it is patched with a newer patch version.
EA has not, however, maintained forward compatibility...and, indeed, it would be difficult, if not impossible, for them to do so and still add new features or improvements to existing features. What this means is that if someone whose game is patched with a newer game makes an item, this item will not show up in your game if you have an outdated patch version.
To summarize, if your game is not patched with the latest version, the items you make will show up in someone's newly patched game. If they make an item based on their newly patched game, it will not show up in your game if it has an outdated patch. My suggestion to anyone posting in this thread is to inquire about patch version number when someone complains that your item isn't showing up in their game.

Thank you orangemittens! We had discovered that this was indeed the issue...not that I was confusing people as MisterS was saying. I tend to think if problems arise...some think we are attacking S4S itself, and that is not the case! I love S4S...I need it, we all do to create fabulous CC for the game! A very kind person sent daer0n a message and told her that it may be because she has a version of the game that does not update...I passed that information to m0xxa. m0xxa has since purchased a digital copy of the game and now all the CC she was unable to have is showing perfectly in her game. So, it was indeed a conflict with the game and S4S not being compatible/conflicting...and NOT that I offered too many files, which is a feature that S4S offers to merge files...and gives the down-loader the ability to choose to have many separated files or a single merged file in their game. So thank you again orangemittens and to the lovely person that sent daer0n the PM! MisterS...please understand that if we ask questions, we are here for help...we are not attacking.

No one suspects anyone of attacking here The purpose of the Creator Help section is to get to the bottom of a problem...not to point fingers of blame. If a creator makes a mistake...mistakes happen. If it's a bug with Studio...the bug needs to be fixed. We all have the same goal...creating great custom content and having fun doing so The issue here is not that the game and S4S are having a compatibility conflict. The issue is that Studio is compatible with the latest EA patch and some people don't patch their game so their game is not compatible with the latest game patch. That player's game is in conflict with the latest version of the game and the reason is because they didn't patch. When EA patches, Studio has to update or else people with patched games will not be able to use Studio. This means that EA and Studio are updated to the most current version of Sims 4 available and they are compatible. The most current version of Sims 4 available may or may not be completely compatible with old versions of the game. If someone doesn't keep their game updated they may or may not be able to use content that was cloned from game files from a newer version of the game. Again, this isn't because of Studio (or any other content tool used) it's because that player didn't patch their game. Their game is incompatible. Ultimately, everyone should just keep their game up to date by patching when a patch is released. It isn't the responsibility of everyone else in the community to play using an outdated game version so that the handful of people who don't patch their game can keep downloading new custom content. Patches are free, they provide new content, EA uses patches to fix game bugs, patches allow new game content to be purchased and installed, and the vast majority of players patch within days of a patch being released. They do so to gain all the benefits a patch provides. In Sims 3, when the most commonly used custom content tool used failed to update promptly, I could understand creators being hesitant to patch until the tool they used was updated for it. This is not the case in Sims 4. Studio updates within days of a patch...usually within 24 hours or less. There simply is no good reason for anyone to not patch promptly. If someone fails to patch, for whatever reason, they may not be able to use content made for a newer version of the game (a patched game). This is their own choice and their responsibility...it is not the responsibility of the creator who made content based on their patched game or of Studio for updating to the latest patched version.
