I have seen posts from earlier this year on tumblr about how people hate mediafire because of the pop-up ads/viruses. I never have any problems with mediafire so I am wondering if you guys do and if I should use another host?

I use mediafire if I want to send package files or something like that to people and never got any problems with it.
I also use onedrive since recently and maybe that one is better as it's not using ads and is well-ordered.

I use mediafire and I've only had the occasional problem. It sometimes opens another window in the back ground when I click the 'download' button. I just close that second window and never have ad-ware problems from mediafire. I've had malware from adfly though :( And yes, I do have 'ad-block' on.
I find mediafire the most freindly of all of the file hosting services.
