I play my Sims 4 on the Mac and since Sims 4 Studio is not supported on Mac in order for me to use Sims 4 Studio is to put it on a PC laptop I have. The laptop doesn't have much space so I really don't want to install Sims 4 on it, but in order for Sims 4 Studio to run it requires that I input the game path (which is nonexistent on this computer). Is there some kind of workaround for this? What specific files is S4S looking for? My intent is to recolor downloaded cc, not defaults.

What I do is I have parallels install Windows as a virtual machine in an external hard drive. The nice thing about Mac is that you can run entire virtual environments while using your Mac at the same time. Parallels is expensive but the best way to use Windows. Otherwise... You'll need to at least install the base game in order to move forward.

Hi orangemittens , andrew , if emeraldstar were to set up the game dir (folder) on the Mac as a Windows network share and then map that network share to a drive letter in the Windows machine where Sims 4 Studio is installed, would Sims 4 Studio be satisfied with what it finds? I realize that would (at least) depend on whether EA puts all the data that S4S is looking for in the same folder and file structure on both Win and Mac. Perhaps the above approach would at least work for having S4S on another Windows PC than the one where the game is installed?
