andrew, hi! I tried to do this for all objects and it works, but when I am trying to do the same with a single item (change the string, change the display name and interaction tuning name/ID, change it in affordances of object tuning and this tuning name/id, change it in object definition...), the name of the interaction really displays in the game... but the action itself doesn't work (like view the painting, sim just stand still). I don't know what to do...

Hi GrilledCheese and 13whitemice, this tutorial only shows how to change in-game text. Changing the string table will not change anything but the text. If you're changing other things, that's a different kind of project that is beyond the scope of this tutorial. The best place to post about it is in the Creator Help section.

Hello andrew, I have a doubt, this is a good tutorial, but it is not what I am looking for: / is something very similar but what I am looking for is how to add interactions to objects, such as I made a wireless phone and add an interaction so that Send me the map ... I searched for all kinds of tutorials, but I did not find anything: / if you only had a tutorial to help me, I would appreciate it very much!

I have a problem. I'm practicing on Tuning. I did the first part, it wasn't hard. But here, I can't figure out why it doesn't work. I decide. Change the game name from "Incredible Sports" to one of my favorite games. I follow the steps & nothing changes, except Incredible Sports isn't there anymore. What did I do wrong?
I have version Harmony of Sims 4 Studio

Where do you edit the xml description in step 12 Hopefully, you've already worked this out @honeysims25, but in case you didn't or someone else has the same question:
Click the object tuning line shown on the left of the warehouse view in S4S. you will see the tuning displayed in the XML tab to the right. You can edit the text right from that tab.
Note: That tuning isn't already in the package when you first create it. You should have added it yourself as your first step. If you didn't or don't know how, then you should follow the tutorial that Andrew mentions and links to in the first paragraph of this tutorial, then come back to this.

Hopefully, you've already figured this out, but in case you haven't (and would still want to after more than a year...), here's a reply:
Look at the tutorial that Andrew links to in the first paragraph of this tutorial. It gives basic information about tuning mods that will apply to changing interactions. There are also a few other tutorials that can help you listed in custom content tutorial index.
However, it is up to you to find the tuning resources you need and it often takes experimentation to get it right. You are going to use the same principles and methods as in the tutorial but you will have to figure out how to adapt them for your specific purposes on your own.
"Interaction" and the name of the object that already uses the interaction are probably good search terms when looking for the right tuning, using the "extract tuning" tool.
If you get started and hit a roadblock and cannot figure out something on your own, you can get help in the Creator Help section.

Hello andrew /everyone, and sorry in advance for being a bother! I am trying to follow this tutorial for the can of juice in game of which I have modified the texture. Except when you get it from the cooler/bar etc it says "Get Juice" and I'd like it to say "Get>Drink X" (Name of new drink). Firstly, I am not sure if this needs to be edited on the item or on the cooler itself? Sorry if it's a stupid question. I am following this but just like Artrui I can't find the "Get Juice" anywhere in the Object Tuning I created following the other step... There are a lot of other stuff, like clean, wash in dishwasher, maid clean, toast etc etc but not the "Get Juice" itself. All these actions seem to suggest what to do when the Sim already has the item in hand, but now how to "take the item out of the cooler". Sorry if I am explaining in a noobish way lol. What can I do? here is a pic imgur.com/a/5giBV08. The item is the expensive can of juice. Thanks again for any help!

I'm having issues with the tutorial. I followed directions from YouTube and in the forms but when I go into the game, there's no option to "view" or "observe art" after I've changed things. I think the issue is within the XML. At one point in the tutorial it says "display" But in the XML there is no word that says "display" at all so there's no way I can change text now. 😐
Is there a new 2018 tutorial? Because I see it was posted 2015 which is quite old.

Does cloning the interaction add a second interaction into the game once you've changed the text? E.g. if I cloned the hunger buff but changed the words to low blood sugar, would that then give me hunger and low sugars, or just the altered text?
