That I remember, refugees can be political (fleeing from military conflict or abuse) or economical (escaping from poverty), or both. I sympathize with both situations. To want a better life I think is something common in all human beings, whatever age, religion or country, and that's how nations like the US or Australia started off (at least for those of European descent). Humans have always migrated since Prehistory. It's a bit of a touchy subject for me at least, because I favour both personal freedom and protecting each cultural group's identity. I am all for collaboration and adaptation, but not at the cost of one's cultural identity, and at the same time, cultural identity should take second place to human rights.

But back to what I posted, I'm sorry Germany banned the link @stevenssimsstuff, it was the very talented Stromae's version of Carmen, I recommend you see it as it is a very good critique of the impact of Internet on human relations.

I'm on my cellphone so I can't post links properly - but my favourite happy song is Earth Song (Turn the world around) by The Muppets & Harry Belafonte. Its going to be the my funeral theme (don't worry, very far off) but if anyone pops by, I will expect enthusiastic humming at least (at the best, you can wear grass skirts and play calabash drums).
