Hello everyone. I would like to present to you... MY AMAZING FLYING DEVICE!! Now, I just invented it this morning, so you might think: will it work? Yes, it will! For I have tested it while I was sleeping. No worries! Why would you want such invention, you might ask. Well, wouldn't it be awesome to just fly to places? The roads are so crowded, cars gotta get parked somewhere, and all that hassle. Why not get a jetpack then? Well because who would want a huge backpack full of flammable stuff? Who knows, maybe you can get burns when you handle such things while lacking experience. But not my device, it is quite safe. And here it is: Isn't it beautiful? Here's how it works: 1.You get a large grocery bag. 2.You get an umbrella. 3.Convince gravity to leave you alone for a moment. 4.Convince wind to blow in the direction you specify with the desired force to create lift for the bag and umbrella. TADAA! You're flying. OK, now to patent this and get crowdfunded, oh I am going to be rich!

Damn, you ARE going to be very rich because of this! Besides the burning dangers, it isn't that good for our planet too if anyone would use jetpacks besides cars and airplanes. You're idea sounds wonderful!
But how will this work when there isn't any wind? Could you replace the umbrella and bag for Helium Balloons and a fan that works on solar energy perhaps?

Sorry paika Mary Poppins trade marked the flying umbrella in the 60's

I don't think so. I have never heard of this Mary Poppins. Her invention must have been flawed somehow, or else you'd see people using it today.
As for the balloons and fan, that would be a totally different thing, and I don't think it would be as maneuverable. Also, this is why you have to make the wind work for you. If it's not windy, you just ask the weather for some wind and there you go. I wasn't able to complete this step yet, still negotiating with gravity. But I do have a bag and umbrella, so as you can see, I am halfway there.

Your' Arms are going to get worn out, you need a shoulder strap with Safety hooks for the Umbrella and Bag - and a Rucksack with Munchies.

Oh I didn't say it's for flying long distances. Just enough to escape from your family.

@stevenssimsstuff it was a weird part of that dream. My grandmother took scissors and cut off a lock of hair next to my forehead, and I was like WTF everybody, how come no one's saying anything. And my parents were like: chill, it's no big deal. So i took the scissors and cut my grandma's hair the same way and OMG all hell broke loose, my family started chasing me like they were gonna beat me up and shave my head bald! Good thing I had my flying device. They were jealous, man ;P

i have really strange dreams, never color - all black and white - it's just like real life. No strange stuff, just normal people with Jobs doing the same things they do in reality. i don't remember dreaming all of the time, but it's always the same place - like another dimension, hard to explain.
What is scary, sometimes when i go back in my sleep...there are people there waiting for me to go to work with them, or casually saying - "It's about time you showed up.". Those are the worst dreams, because i am always tired - like i never slept.

Wow, really... that's quite odd. I often have crazy adventures, maybe I just generally have a very creative brain. I do have a low tolerance for boredom. Sometimes I fall asleep consciously, when I'm having some kind of trouble sleeping. I hate how it feels - like your brain is going numb, turning inside out, and you're actually falling over. However it gives you an opportunity to pick your dream. I usually jump out the window to see what happens ;P

Paika, I think you're now obligated to make CC of this.
Plus, being agoraphobic, I can't really utilize your invention in real life, so I need to live vicariously through Gabriel.
That said, I'll forgive you not creating this piece of CC if I can have some of those adorable forever-baby cowplants, bonus points if you actually get them to move (and I'll provide you whatever service I can if you can make them dance).
This being the internet, I feel I must say, I'm being facetious here, at least in saying you owe us something. I still absolutely want those adorable little cowplants, and I'd totally kill for little dancing ones.

Finn Quill you're agoraphobic? Oh man, that really sucks. Mental illness is no joke, it can be really crippling. I've spent years not being able to leave my house. Luckily, with a bit of help, I've overcome my issues. Now I have some personal problems, that a lot of people would find daunting, my family seem worried about me. But I'm at ease, I don't worry about myself. These current challenges are a joke compared to what I've been through. I hope you can beat this thing, it is possible, and if you do, it gives you such peace of mind, nothing bothers you anymore. I haven't tried making animated objects in S4S and I'm not sure I can actually figure out how. I haven't seen any object animation tutorials out there. If you've found one, let me know.

I haven't tried making animated objects in S4S and I'm not sure I can actually figure out how. I haven't seen any object animation tutorials out there. If you've found one, let me know. Thanks for the empathy, it does suck because I want to get better and I don't. I used to be very assertive and confident (even though I was bipolar, I was pretty in control of it, without any meds). Then my life got super messed up, and I had a severe identity crisis and lost my will to keep control. That led to a lot of failed attempts to end things, and when I realized I couldn't do it, I broke. Ended up in a mental hospital twice, and had a huge panic attack when I got out. I learned that Agoraphobia is often not defined correctly. Most people treat it as the fear of leaving the house (more or less), but it's actually the fear of being trapped in a situation from which you cannot escape. Turns out, as messed up as it was, the knowledge that I could kill myself at any time, meant I never felt like I couldn't escape a bad situation. When I realized that I probably couldn't do it... I discovered that I've probably been an agoraphobe for as long as I can remember, I just always believed I had an out. Sorry to hijack your thread with that, the events leading to all this have left me with not a lot of people to talk to, and the Sim modding community has kinda become my safe place. You're not the first person who has mentioned that they get what I'm going through, and I appreciate that. There's probably some kind of irony in the fact that I started immersing myself deeply in a life simulator after I stopped being particularly capable of handling the real thing. As for the animation thing, I suddenly realize that despite you and other mentioning the baby cowplants moving in various places, that I guess the baby ones don't usually have animations. I was figuring you could use the ones that were already there, but I guess that's not really a thing... I'd guess if anyone knows how to create an object animation, it'd be Andrew or OM.
