i was going pretty good with this till i got to the geometry settings , i am trying to add this glow/light effect to an eye mask ( not like the eye in the tutorial like a literal eye contact mask) it did not have a geometry setting . Is this method not gonna work for facemasks?

sammoyke, No, this will only work if the object contains a mesh. As facemasks are only textures it won't work unfortunately.

-- UPDATE --For everybody who tried to follow this tutorial but got stuck for whatever reason, I wasn't aware of the emission map changes in Studio's last update. There for I wrote some guide lines on which parts of the tutorial to do different. PLEASE read those guide lines as it will make the time making dynamic light clothing a whole lot shorter. Got any more questions? Your in the right thread!

I know this is an old thread, but could this same method be used to making a sim glow overall by applying a whole-body transparent glowing tattoo??

Hey Bakie . Really cool tutorial! I'm wondering how I can do this with objects though. Is it the same process of linking the emissive map to the meshes after importing?

I urgently need the correct instructions, please ask for help <3 Sorry for answering this late, but it isn't that buggy at all. If you read the video description on YouTube, you can see which parts can be skipped. I don't have plans to make a new tutorial any time soon. Maybe some day, but for now the description on YouTube helps a lot of other people to follow the tutorial.

Hey Bakie . Really cool tutorial! I'm wondering how I can do this with objects though. Is it the same process of linking the emissive map to the meshes after importing? Hello Eli, No with objects it's a bit more difficult as it isn't really supported by Studio yet, just as it wasn't for CAS when I made this video. I haven't done this myself either for a long time, so maybe things have changed already. What I did when making my Amanita Muscaria - Glow in the night mushroom, was studying the alien mushroom that came with the get to work expansion pack and see waht images I needed and where they were linked to the meshes. But it could take a very long time to figure this all out.. Maybe I will make a tutorial about it one day, but not any time soon.
