If you don't like the way your sofa turned out, play around with the textures some more. Resize or readjust mapping, so it shows differently.
I recently made a plant that looked kind of disappointing at 1st, worse than the original I based it on actually, but spending extra time on fixing the mesh and redrawing the texture really paid off. Now my plant looks better than the EA one. :D

I like most of your work, but i think if you want the furnitures to look old and weatherd (I assume as that's what you've gone for as of yet, lol) they need to be "not as bright" I would suggest maybe pulling down on the contrast and perhaps light. Perhaps using a soft brush and put some dark "stains" to texture it a bit, and then setting the layer on a 50% (just for example) opacity.
Just create a copy and play around in Photoshop, then compair the two, and see which one you like most. I think you're doing great work, just keep playing around and testing diffrent things on a copy, if you like the old one better then you can use the original file.

I gone give that a try..not thought of trying above at all and all the features are in the program. And thank you! I think sometimes that I have a strange taste but I like it when it look used. Not a superclean looking but as it is when you have something like a sofa wich you love because it's comfortable even it's old and damaged. lol when I was able to create meshes I think you would find a very old chair with the springs popping out the seat (a make over project) Thanks again for the head ups! and that you like most of my work.

I second what orangemittens said! I love it, and it really looks lived in, but not like a haunted house but really lived in. It looks really great, francien!!!

ah thank you both for the nice reply's..and that with only EA stuff no cc in my game :P I miss a lot of my cc but I keep this game for testing my things.'Building the house is nice also, because I think I have square px eyes now and than. But it's not old enough and what I miss the most is the availability to rise the ground..stupid maybe but everything looks so flat it's not normal haha ???

Oh yeah, Im almost more annoyed with not being able to flatten ground or rise/sink it then the whole "There's no toddlers" thing... Almost I think, not being able to rise/sink the ground it's harder to create an intressting lot. I kinda feel like they dumbed The Sims 4 down, making it easier to create a simple house faster, but as they stripped so many features (Like ConstrainFloorElevation) its much harder to create a intressting house that looks good. :'(

Me too! I Always rised or lowered the ground it looks more interesting and it's a challenge to build a house. I still have sims3 on my pc..love the weather option too..so sometimes I go back and build. Really hope they make a addition with the good things whe mostly are missing Well almost Halloween this house I build with the ground rised lol You see love the options everything looks to me more realistic

Great pic!
I'm a lot more annoyed by the terrain issue than the toddler issue. I never had toddlers in my game in Sims 2 or 3 anyway. While in some ways they made Sims 4 more simple in others it is more complex. I wish they would take the best of S2, S3, and S4 and combine all of that for S5. They wouldn't even need to add anything new for that to be the best one of them all.

Thank you Orangemitten, me too, I thought the terrain mod was not such a big problem till I'm in sims4 building a lot, than I realize everytime I don't like it at all. All buildings are on flat piece of ground,no water to make rivers etc. Ah I could go on like most people. You nailed it I think you just created a new Sims 5 and if EA would listen, it will become the greatest hit :D

Awesome pic, Francien! And yeah, the flat ground thing is annoying as heck. I too dident really think to much of it, until they removed the feature in TS4, like the hell EA?! And "funny" thing is that not all the lots are completely leveled either, so when I go to place a pool on some of the lots, I cant. Its incredibly frustrating, playing the game without money cheats and spending time on finishing your perfect family home and then all the sudden, a simple thing like you cant level the ground, mess everything up. If EA keep removing features then I'm afraid TS5 will just be like, already made houses, without the build feature and all you can do is use only one sim, simulatiing their whole life in first perspective and not being able to switch between other sims.... And I agree with OM, they dont need to add anything really, its pretty simple, all they need to do is to take the best of everything, and everyone will be happy. I just wished they would actually hire some die hard fans, who knows what the gamers really wants, and then do those things, instead of going "We all know you people been asking for ice cream, so we made this HUUUUGE pack to satisfy your needs" when there were only like 2% of people who requested it and they just simply could have added it in as a small object another EP, instead of making a whole SP. And then they are like "We did what you guys wanted.... We're awesome! Now we dont need to do toddlers, elevation tools, pets (for a while probably), weather and so on, because we gave the people an ice cream machine!"
