I've tried searching online for this problem, and have only seen a few references to it with no solutions other than to remove the items.
Any cc blankets or pillows that I add to my University dorm beds (using Maxis beds) will cause the 102:20ece5dd error that crashes the game. Is there any way to fix these objects in S4S manually, or any method at all that can make them compatible with Uni dorms?
I know that there are cc beds that work, but some of the blankets and pillows REALLY make the dorm rooms come alive with personality.

Have you tried downloading the blankets and pillows again? If the creator is still active and able to solve the problem, the items should be updated by now. (You could also try bringing the issue up to them if they haven't fixed it yet.) Also, are any of the pillows the Saturday Morning Pillow by Cherry Sims (or recolors of that mesh?) Are the blankets from that set? I ask because, after a quick google search, that pillow seems to be a known issue and I'm not certain if it was ever updated. (I went to their site but the download link is abbreviated. If it's on Simfileshare, then I could tell the date and if it was ever updated but I just don't want to deal with ad.fly or anything like that rn.) For now, although it's not the answer you're looking for, I'd personally recommend removing the blankets and pillows that you're trying to use from your mods folder (at least temporarily), delete the localthumbcache.package from your Sims 4 folder (I strongly recommend deleting this after every game session anyway, since it can resolve certain problems), and try some blankets and pillows by really active creators to see if they work any better. For example, maybe try these? peacemaker-ic.tumblr.com/post/620867987030917121/master-post-throw-pillows-i-have-made-many Peacemaker has definitely updated these sets, though I can't be certain he's resolved this particular issue, so do use it with caution. I'd backup your saves once you've gotten the error removed, just to be safe. I could be mistaken, but I have a feeling the answer for making the older items compatible is to create a new mesh with updated game content and apply the textures to it. If anyone knows more, please answer.

NP! Try just removing the Cherry Sims pillow that I mentioned. If you don't have that, remove anything else by Cherry Sims (and any recolors), then delete the localthumbcache.package and test the other stuff in game, to see if that solves the issue. If that doesn't solve it, do the 50/50 method on the remaining pillows and blankets to see what does work (make sure you delete that file in-between each game session.) Hopefully something still works and it's just one or two that don't! Edit: Forgot to add, you can also try redownloading anything that you've confirmed doesn't work to see if they fixed it, of course! Also, someone I recently found is Ung999 on TSR. They update their CC regularly but I'm not sure if they've had issues with dorms. I just noticed their stuff, haven't tested it myself, and thus can't vouch for it in this specific scenario. I simply figured you might be interested tho because it looks nice! Another Edit: I forgot to mention WMS has some too. I'd hope they're updated but I don't know for certain. I don't know how many you'll end up having to remove so I thought it'd be nice to point out a few other people in case their stuff does work. It's not exactly the same of course but it might add more variety in if no one can help fix the ones that are definitely broken. Good luck btw! Hopefully it's just a few that are problematic but at least once you know which ones aren't working, you can proceed from there.
