Hello, after the latest update I can get any cc in my game... If I start the game, I have to click at Turn on modifications, I did this like a 100 times, saved and restarts but it doesn't work... I already tried to do this without any cc in my game... I repaired my game too. Does anyone know what to do?

Someone else had this problem and later said they'd solved it and it turned out to be their antivirus blocking the Mods folder.

Yes I did this a 100 times lol. You always have to turn them on after an update but this time it seems he don't save the settings...

I have the exact same problem. I have been searching for an answer for days now. Unfortunately deleting the "Option.ini" didn't work for me... still no custom content and the settings are still changing.
If somebody finds a solution pleaseeeeee let me know. I don't know what else to do :D

I have not heard of any other causes for this problem besides a corrupted Options.ini or an antivirus problem. If you have ruled out an antivirus problem, then you might want to test the Options.ini possibility more carefully, e.g.
a) After deleting Options.ini (and also localthumbcache.package since that's a given), make sure that ALL of your options are, in fact, set to their original default values, since deleting the file will reset EVERY game option you had ever changed. If they are not all reset, the file did not actually get deleted and you'll need to try again. You'll normally find Options.ini in the same folder AS your Mods folder, i.e. one level up from it.
b) After confirming that you really did delete the right file and all your options got reset, try changing some other option BESIDES turning on mods, save the game, exit, go back in, and see if the OTHER setting stayed changed. If you can't get that to work, you have a bigger problem than just not being able to turn on CC, and will need to solve that problem first. (The antivirus issue is one possible cause, and I've heard that letting your computer handle My Documents as part of OneDrive can cause problems if you're trying to delete and replace files also. You might also need to repair or reinstall your game.)
c) If you get everything else behaving, try turning mods back on again and see if it works this time.

Do any of you have TwistedMexi's Better BuildBuy mod? The filters for it can only be checked/unchecked when in the catalog on a lot. The mod was updated sep 18th, check tmex's patreon for details about the filters etc if you have this mod.

Unfortunately deleting the "Option.ini" didn't work for me... still no custom content and the settings are still changing. If somebody finds a solution pleaseeeeee let me know. I don't know what else to do :D If you haven’t already done so go into your documents and rename the Sims 4 folder to Sims 4 old. Then start your game. A new game folder will be automatically generated. Once you clicked yourself through the loading screen procedure go to settings and checkmark Script and Mods. Apply and leave the game. Then go into Origin and repair your game. Once done start your game again and check if the checkmarks are still set. (They should) After that open your new Sims 4 folder and delete the Saves folder. Navigate to your “Sims 4 old” folder, open your mods folder and delete the resource file in there. Then copy the whole mods folder, Tray and Saves folder, navigate back to your new Sims 4 folder and paste them right in there. Now start your game again and double check the settings. It should be all good now. This is what worked for me
