Babies really need some update in the sims4. I created a diaper changer dresser in blender and I would like to do an animation that the babies’s diaper is being changed.
I never saw any mods with babies animated. I was wondering if it’s possible to do something for babies?

Animations are the least of the problem, getting it to work from bassinet to changing table would be a nightmare since the baby and the bassinet are one object and so far proven to be hardcoded. A functional changing table for toddlers is on my to-do list and adding support for babies are something I've discussed with my friend, who is a functional object and animation expert, and while we have a general layout in mind on how it might work by tricking the system, just brainstorming has us already labeling it as an extremely difficult project and we're not even sure ourselves if it will work. With everything I've seen and heard, I honestly don't have much hope for it working. For a regular mod where you just pick up the baby and stand in place you might be able to create new animations, but it's the transferring and moving the baby that more than likely won't.

For now I think the closest you can get in doing anything new with babies is to make deco babies, or a simple animated deco variant that isn't linked to the crib version (but someone skilled would probably still have to do that one). Would probably be more a prop than a functional object, though. It is possible to extract the baby skeleton, but I don't know if it's possible to use it for anything. Deco babies? Absolutely. Making anything new with the actual babies? Probably not, at least not until EA releases them properly from the cribs. Would be great to see an item that actually works, but that would probably be a very difficult project, like MizoreYukii says.

Oh I see. If professional modders like you say this, then a beginner like me surely can’t do it.
I think I’ll try to make it work with toddlers instead. : )
