If I need to use Blender on an object that I made, I won't be able to use the most recent Blender upgrade (2.90.1)?

Hi. S4S is compatible only with 2.7, 2.76-2.79 versions of Blender. Newer versions are not supported because they do not work on older versions of windows. You need to use any of the supported versions either as a main tool or as a bridge. You can do everything in 2.8+ versions, then save and close the file, then open 2.7/2.76-2.79, File - Append - the blend file you worked in 2.8+ - object - your meshgroups, assign cut numbers, save
