soo..i created a thread about a month ago and i am no longer receiving any answers to my posts ..
i also have tried fixing my issues and i have an updated file for someone to help me with..
so a while back i tried to make my first mesh that protrudes a little further away from the body than most of my meshes; i have created many many items of clothing in the past but this was my first "fluffy" piece, even though it isn't really fluffy at all.
so i will post pictures of what i wanted it to look like and how it looks in other peoples games.
this is the link of the original mesh i made: original mesh
here's a picture of how it distorts in other peoples games below:
and here is a picture of how it should look
..
i don't understand why it does this distortion, in the original mesh after i appended the nude top and bottom, i uploaded the LODS to a base game item [sleep-dress chemise woman] then uploaded textures, swatches etc. and this is the first time i see such dramatic distortions. and it's not even in my game, mainly other peoples games. nonetheless i still don't want to put crappy content into the world..HELP!?
mauvemorn the moderator helped me a little and i think i was able to transfer weights from a reference mesh [mini sweater dress young adult] and i have the link of my updated mesh file, please, anyone look at this new file and see if i transferred the weights correctly. after transferring the weights, i used a clean tool? i followed as many instructions as i could from orangemittens and mauvemorn, now if i didn't do something correctly, could someone tell me what i am doing wrong?
here is the link to the updated weight paint, etc: updated mesh
like i said before, i have created and published many meshes before, but they have always been tight clothing or meshes made from no cuts [0000]
so i just need this whole weight paint thing explained to me in laymen or baby terms! thanks :]
