Hello everyone For one of my sims, I would like to replace the cellphone in game with another mesh similar to how this person did this. Unfortunately s4s doesn't let me open the file and see how they did it, so that I can try to do it myself... So my questions are as follows: 1. Is it possible to do this but instead of a default replacement for all sims like in the mod linked above, have it that you can put which sims have the modded cellphone?
2. If it is possible, may I have some pointers in how to do it?

You should be able to do it by adding a new geometry state to the phone and a buff (trait) to a sim, the TDESC files have a Change_geometry_state_ovveride function which changes the default geometry state of an object, you should be able to do a test with a buff and apply a new value for the geometry state. The whole thing is really complex and it would take way too much time for me to even test it out, you'll have to experiment you will definitely need the tdesc files and the TDESC description browser |
