raynam I'm not sure that I understand the question. Which script files in which software? raynam the ts4script files are zip files. If you rename them to end with .zip, you should be able to extract them. Once extracted, many will only contain .pyc files. Although the PyCharm project in the tutorial is only setup to decompile EA scripts, it can be modified to decompile others with a few extra steps: 1. Add a folder called Local to your project and place the unzipped .pyc files in the new folder. 2. Add a new python script called decompile_local.py to your project. 3. Paste this script in there: from Utilities import decompile_dir

decompile_dir(os.path.join(p, 'Local'))
4. Right-click decompile_local.py and run it. It should create the .py script files next to the .pyc files in the Local folder.

raynam it looks like your decompile_local.py is in your Local folder. The script is meant to be in the main folder with the other decompile scripts. The pyc files should be the only ones in the Local folder.

Hi, I'm having some trouble with this tutorial. I'm able to compile the mod, seemingly without error, but when I load up the game, I'm not able to get anything to happen when I enter the command. Not sure where to go to diagnose, I tried adding some effects to the script like adding money (copying the motherlode cheat), but that doesn't seem to function either. If I had an error message that'd be one thing, but without one I don't know where to start, haha.
EDIT: I was able to get it working, through one of the below, posting in case it helps anyone in the future
* I had python 3.7.2 installed originally. I'm now (also) running python 3.7.0
* I created a new Example Mod folder (ExampleMod2)
* I manually removed and recreated my python interpreter (including deleting the venv folder that my 3.7.2 interpreter was pointing to)
Not sure what of this got it working, or if I was just missing something on my first go, but I'm in business now! Thanks for the tutorial!

Hello. i have recently formated my computer. And when intalling pycharm and doing the steps of the tut. When i try to compile my scripts i get this error. Did I did something wrong?
