Using the tutorial: www.sims4studio.com/thread/1126/recolor-studio-recolorables-mesh, I was able to succeed creating my favorite prints into paintings.
Glad they are buyable, sims were buying them like lottery tickets.
Thank you for the tutorial!
Forgot to ask for feedback, if I need to make changes, please let me know. Right now I am so excited.

Funnily enough, I was just thinking of trying out that tutorial, and then I saw your post! They look really nice - the prints are lovely, and I like the texturing on the frames. Good to see they're so popular in your in-game store!

Yes it was! I am so thankful that you created the tutorial. Can I apply the technique with other painting meshes? I know it will be different from one mesh to the next but love how you explain the techniques for creating depth on the frame.
Thank you very much for your compliments, Esmeralda and Orangemitten.

You can made depth on the frame the same way using EA's paintings but it won't be as easy because they have no template. I wrote a tutorial that shows how to get the UV map from any object and you can use the UV map to create your own template though. That will make it easier to find the edges that need to be darkened. If it's just the drop shadow part you're after you can use the original EA image and cut out the part where their painting image is. Then make the drop shadow as the tutorial shows.
