I'm also having issues with the mod :( I just recently downloaded it and am trying to use it on one of my dogs in my sims saves but with no success. The mod file is in the mods folder of the sims 4 game and I do have the "enable mods and custom content" and "Script mods" boxes checked in the game options. My sims 4 game is up to date with the most recent patch update and I have restarted my game to apply the checked boxes of the mods and have restarted my computer.
Please let me know what else I can do, I'm still pretty new to mods so there might be something I don't know how to do?

I think the mod needs updated, they just released a patch and all script mods are broken. I can still control my pets but i can not get them to sleep on the floor

soulofthedark961 - Are you sure you're trying to get the pet to sleep on a flat open surface? I was able to get my kitten to sleep in several spots on the floor, but I know if the terrain is not completely flat my sims won't do anything on that spot. I usually have to soften the terrain or add some flatted areas to get them to work proper. Could another script or mod be causing this issue? Have you tried the AOM without any other mods involved? Do you have the script files in a nested folder? Script files tend to not work properly unless they're in the main folder or 1 folder in. Any deeper and they start causing some troubles.

i have no other script mods, all my other mods are clothing. i had no trouble yesterday until later that night. i can try moving my sims or go to another house hold. im just telling my dog to lay down in the house with nothing around. i will mess around a bit and figure something out

soulofthedark961 Oh, be sure you have your scripts enabled in the settings. (But I think you've probably already done that.) If it just stopped working and you haven't added/changed your mod set up, you could try redownloading AOM stuff. Sometimes files just go wonky. Also...I don't think it would matter, but there is a bug with the LinZ speaker that was added in the update 2 days ago. It has something to do with relationships and traveling/being unable to travel and exploding the game eventually... I don't think that would be the cause of your pet not listening to commands, but since they just found the bug... I figured I might mention it just in case it was causing some additional issues that no one is aware of yet. Good Luck. If I think of anything else, I'll post it here for you.

@wj It's a shame because I like the idea of the speaker... Just tossed that out there because the description of the pet not listening to a command seems like it could be similar to what others are reporting about traveling after sims gain a relationship to the linz speaker. soulofthedark961 I can't think of anything else that might cause the pet to not listen to commands. Does the pet listen to other commands for you or is it just the lay down that's messed up? Can you create a new pet in a new house and still have the issue? If it isn't present on a new pet in a new household, then maybe the family is corrupt? You can sometimes fix them by making duplicate twins of everyone.

ok with just the selectable pets mod, i still cannot get my dog to sleep on the floor. i have limited all mods that could be affecting it.
