I have made a round seat from a square one, so i tried to get the round shadow instead of the original square one doing it the way explained above (by selecting the shadow plane with A, selecting all the vertices in the shadow UV and move it with G to the round shadow, but the shadow remains a square. Only the shades are getting darker or lighter. Why is that?

Okay, so I'm trying to make one of the Steam'in Ornate Emitter into just a deco object for... reasons. ( Because I think it looks like a Sewer Grate, why not? ) I already have cloned a mesh ( Florist's Dream Gardening Tools ) and replaced it with Steam'in Ornate Emitter's mesh, made adjustments because if you're in game and zoomed it out would revert back to Florist's Dream's mesh. I changed it to LOD 2 (low) which did fix that in game. I also fixed it so that it doesn't actually emit steam or bubbles. Now, the problem I have is that the outdoor shadow, as you listed above, does show up. I opened it in blender and tried to do what you said but I can't find the shadow... can you help me? It's my first time using Blender. Below are images - hopefully it will help?
Also - I should add - that I have another version of it was working on it first, without using another mesh. Everything is working totally fine but when you go to place the object it says that 'this item can only be placed in a pool' or something close to that. That's the only problem with that way... but I have no idea how to change that? AND if you use bb.moveobjects it places perfectly anywhere on the ground, but I'd like to do that without using bb.moveobjects.
I hope what I said makes sense and is appropriate that I posted here - let me know if not. Thank you! (´・ω・`)

simspell Hi! To control the outside shadows the game uses a "shadow lod", it exist one per LOD that the item has. This is nothing else than a mesh, so it means you have to make it in case there's not already. You can read THIS tutorial for more explained information, start from step 137. In this case, however, if you want to make that item just a decorative, I think you should only change the Tuning and Tuning ID. This will make your item have the behaviour of the tuning you put to it without exporting and re-importing the meshes and textures. So you would have to do the following: 1-Clone the Steamin Ornate Emitter. 2- In the Warehouse, go to Object Definition resource. (You will find it in the list). 3-In the right side, scroll down until you see "Tuning" and "Tuning ID" 4- Replace those values for the tuning and tuning ID of a decorative item. For example, I've looked into the Doggy Sculpture, that item is a decorative and has the behaviour you want for your emitter. The Tuning of the sculpture is "object_sculpture" and the tuning ID "14961". 5-Now go to the TAGs tab and recategorize your object. Uncheck Pool and check decoration misc(for example). This is flexible of what you need it to show up in the catalogue. 6-You have to edit also the footprint, which is the reason you were not able to place it on the ground. You can simple remove the footprint, as shown in THIS tutorial. 7-Save your .package. 8-Done! This way you won't have to edit anything else or mess with the meshes and textures. However, your item will be expansion dependent since you cloned a Get Together item.

Hi simspell, the issue you had with zooming out is expected. Objects frequently (but not always) have additional LODs. These are usually lower quality versions of the LOD 0 mesh. They are used to reduce render times when players are zoomed out far enough that details cannot be seen. If you replace only LOD 0 you will see EA's original LOD 1 (and LOD 2 if there is one) when you zoom away from the item. As Mathcope said, items have different ways of casting a shadow. In your picture, the white plane under the emitter is the indoor shadow. The outdoor shadow will be cast by a separate shadow mesh that is exportable through Studio (Shadow LODs). The emitter item has a special Object Catalog flag that allows it to be placed in pools. I suspect that removing this flag may fix the issue with it only allowing itself to be placed in a pool although I have not tested this myself. The flag is here:

I tried unchecking that OM when I was testing it... it doesn't seem to help. The item can't be placed in the ground and nor in the pool. So it turns unplaceable. Importing another footprint doesn't seen to help either, that's why I recommend her to remove the footprint. It was the only way I could find, but it might be another i don't really know...

Thank you both Mathcope and orangemittens so much for lending me a hand. I did go with the decorative item instructions that Mathcope said and it works perfectly! I just added extra swatches to match all the ones that original Steamin' Ornate Emitter had. I will definitely return to this though for anything else I do. I really really appreciate you guys taking time out of your day to respond and help me. ) Do you think its ok if I share it on here? I don't know if anyone else would really want it but I think I'll put it on my simblr and if they do: cool and if not: also cool. haha Thank you so much again!!!

I'm glad to hear the item is working as you want. It's an interesting object that I plan to take a look at (the original). I would like to know why it won't place if it has a footprint. I'm not sure what you mean by share it on here but if you want to share it here at Studio forums you're welcome to. The Creator Studios section is a good place to share with the community

I followed the steps however, there is still a dark shadow beneath my item in game. (In the same shape and length of the shadow plane that I resized. It only shows up when the item is placed indoor.

What about the shadows on the actual texture? For example I removed a curtain from a bed frame but the shadow from that curtain is still on the bed frame even though the curtain is gone.
